Based around his real world experiences writing for the Sid Caesar’s “Show of Shows,” this Neil Simon play is an exhilarating ride that has a large amount of laughs, and a fair amount of tenderness. It gives us a taste of what it must have been like working in the early days of TV, and around some of the sharpest and funniest minds in comedy, such as Mel Brooks, Sid Caesar, Larry Gelbart, Carl Reiner, and, of course, Neil Simon himself.
